This week, I wanted to talk about something exciting that I’ve been working on for the last several months; Ruhe Liebe.Concepts. In this blog, I’ll dive a little bit into what Ruhe Liebe.Concepts is, what my plans are for the next coming months, and what standard of quality and expectations I plan on upholding for anyone involved. I’ve done so much work behind-the-scenes on this project, and I’m so happy to finally get to talk more about it!

What is Ruhe Liebe.Concepts?
Ruhe Liebe.Concepts is a wing of Ruhe Liebe Photography – a place specifically intended for all of my future Styled Shoots. To be more exact, Ruhe Liebe.Concepts is a place for creatives of all expertise levels to come together for a sense of community, to further expand their craft and imaginative abilities, and to (most importantly) be able to create without the usual pressures that come with everyday clients (timelines, less-than-cooperative vendors, etc.).
Whether you’ve got 6 months or 30 years in the photo/video game, whether you prefer light and airy or dramatic and moody, whether you primarily shoot weddings or if you’re more of a sports creator – you will find something here. I quite literally have several lists.
What you can Expect from Ruhe Liebe.Concepts
I’ll break this part down into 3 sections; Inspiration, Frequency, & Pricing/Location – that way you can skip around to the parts you’re more interested in (:
Inspiration
Even as a Photographer, most of my creative inspiration comes from nature, culture, and things that bring feelings of nostalgia – or really any strong emotion for that matter. Because of this, you’ll notice that a lot of my shoots will be based around either some kind of romance, past pop-culture icons, vintage films, etc. and set around nature or involving florals or nods to our big ‘ole universe and/or Mother Earth. I want my attendees to feel free and comfortable to create, you’ll notice they’ll also have that same “at home” vibe as my main brand and persona.
Frequency
This first year will bring a whole lotta trial and error – and I’m ready for it. I’m all-in on finding what works for this space and those who attend my shoots. Because of this, a lot of this first year will be gauging interest from fellow Photographers to see what their schedules look like around different times of year and what timelines work the best as well. As the year comes to a close, I’ll be re-evaluating what worked and what didn’t and slowly refine my frequency from there.
When I say I’m going big though, I’m not kidding, y’all. What I mean is: Up to 2 styled shoots a month. 1 large, 1 small. 2 different price ranges. Endless location possibilities. Sound good? Welcome home.
Pricing/Location
While I do eventually want to expand to doing full-scale, luxury, styled-shoot experiences – I want to get there intentionally. Each shoot will be a mindful process which includes finding the best venues and vendors available for mine and other people’s clients. I envision a sort of master list on my website that everyone can use for their reference that will hopefully put some ease on the stress of event planning that us Creatives are all quite familiar with.
Because of these factors, the majority of my shoots will take place somewhere within North Carolina – likely for the first year or so. The most common cities you’ll find me are; Winston-Salem, High Point, Greensboro, Burlington, Raleigh/Durham, Concord/Kannapolis, & Charlotte. As for pricing, I’m going to do my best to keep smaller-scale shoot tickets as far under $100 as possible (most commonly, $50-$75) and my larger-scale shoots anywhere from $150 to $250.
Closing Thoughts
I can’t express enough how excited I am to get into this stage of my journey in this industry. Without sugarcoating anything; I know I’m still fairly new here and have so much to learn and respect that is due to those who have helped get me here and who were here before me. I truly hope that you find that each event, each person (vendor, attendee, etc.) attending, each interaction and lesson means so much to me. I have so many ideas that I am so excited to share, and I am so grateful to be surrounded by so many amazingly talented people who are kind enough to help me bring these visions I have to fruition.
