Hey friends! I hope you had an awesome weekend and start to the new week! It feels like July is passing by so quickly and I can hardly believe we’re already halfway through the year?!

It’s been such an eventful past few months for me and I’m honestly so glad to (hopefully, fingers crossed) get back to some sort of rhythm now that things have settled down quite a bit. Full transparency, I really didn’t know what I was going to do with myself for awhile there. But I’m glad to be back into the swing of things and back to creating and capturing so many beautiful and precious memories!

This week, I wanted to share some of my recent thoughts and feelings that have been running through my head this past week or so, as well as a few updates I have for those of you who are following along with Ruhe Liebe.Concepts and the Styled Shoots I have planned. There have been a few updates, with the most important being about the one originally scheduled for tomorrow.

First, Let’s Get Real

Whether you’re a follower of mine, or you know me personally, you know that these last few months have been a bit of a rollercoaster for me. Never in vain though, because I truly learned so much of what to do and how to handle my business in times where things happen or even my personal life getting a bit stressful. I just know that it must not have looked too pretty on the outside if I know how confused, chaotic, etc. I felt in any moment.

Part of why I place so much importance on being transparent about those times and the “messiness” it brings is because it is a part of my journey, and I know one day I’ll look back on these first few years in Photography and owning my own business and it wont be that way. In so many of the chats I’m in with fellow Photographers and creators, it’s not uncommon for creatives to feel overwhelmed, stressed, or even just struggling to find a balance between work and life and it truly is crazy how different and alone I felt before joining those groups. There’s something so validating and unique about the experience of struggling together and sometimes that’s just how life is (can you tell I’m still trying to learn it myself?).

Anyways, I say all that because it truly is important to me that my clients, followers, family, friends, etc., don’t look at my content and think “wow, everything is so perfectly executed all the time!” (though I’ll definitely work to get as close as I can), I want people to view my content and read my blogs like they’re hanging with a friend. Truly – like they’re at home. The good and the bad. Growing pains and huge successes.

To be clear, I am always so grateful for this job. The busy and the slow times. The easy or “perfect” days and the days I feel like I should have “first day” tattooed on my forehead. Not to mention all of the people that I come across because of it. I just want to make it clear I have no desire to come across as the “perfectly polished” photographer, and also to hopefully make someone else feel a little less alone if they’re going through/recovering from something hard while running their business (and ofc the endless other life things).

Enough blabbing though, let’s talk about some updates!

Changes & Coming Soon

If you followed along with my beach styled shoot, you know just how excited I was to have an excuse to run around the beach with my camera and create yet another beautiful shoot. However, with all of the recent events happening in my personal life and all that came with – I found it difficult to get the shoot seen by the right people in good time. I ultimately made the decision to reschedule the shoot for (most likely) November of this year. While it wasn’t an easy decision to make at all, I always want my shoots to give the most opportunities to those creatively involved and that will always be my priority. I think rescheduling it was the best choice I could have made and it will only give me time to make it even bigger and better – which I am SO excited about.

That being said, all of my remaining Styled Shoots will go on as planned and I will be posting more over on my Instagram and Facebook pages! I truly hope to see more and more of you there and I canNOT wait to meet and work with you all soon!!
