Good afternoon everyone! Happy Monday – and Happy Labor Day!
I hope you all have had a great weekend, and are enjoying your start to the week! For me, this weekend brought such a fun celebration that I am so happy to have been at to snap some photos! Lizzie’s All-Natural Products did their Grand Re-Opening in Downtown Winston-Salem – complete with a food truck, chair massages, mimosas, and goodie bags! It truly was such an experience, and I’m so happy I got to stop by, meet new people, and – of course – congratulate her on her beautiful brand new Storefront!
For this blog, I wanted to talk more about the event and where I’m at in the editing process so far. I always love getting the chance to connect with my community and local Vendors, so I’m very excited to share some more about the day!
As always, grab your warmest blanket, coziest seat, and your favorite bevvy – and let’s get into all of the details that stuck out to me from Lizzie’s Grand Re-Opening!
Reconnections & Opportunity
To explain how I ended up working Christen (Owner of Lizzie’s All-Natural Products), I’d have to bring you all the way back to 2024 – when my Husband, Daniel, worked with her on a few video projects for her products. I’ve always admired those with a love for handmade items, and as someone who has always had extremely sensitive skin – I really do actually use and love her products. I actually STILL currently have her Lip Balm in my bag for the upcoming Winter Season – LOL.
Anyways, when I saw that she was finally Re-Opening her doors to new and old clients, I knew that I just had to be there. I reached out to her almost immediately to see if she wanted some coverage for her event – and she said YES!
It’s always so meaningful to me to get to work with people I connected with towards the start of my journey. Having the opportunity to shoot for Christen (& not my husband, teehee) is such a full-circle moment for me!
Lizzie’s All-New Storefront
While I unfortunately never got the chance to see her original space, I did get the chance to speak with her and a few of the people there working to see what they thought of the new space. In those conversations, you could immediately tell how excited and proud they were to be at their new location.
The best way I could describe the space, is ‘fresh, cozy, and inviting‘. I absolutely loved all the wood furniture, natural finishes, and earthy tones you’d find all throughout the shop. There’s nothing that feels out of place, and everyone there was so friendly, on-top of their game, and willing to help. Not to mention – the whole place smells absolutely delicious!
If you happen to stop by – I’d genuinely recommend any of her products to you, especially if you’re a sensitive-skin girl like me!
Now Time for the Fun Part
Sooo… I have a confession to make.
Hi, I’m Katelynn. I have a tendency to over-shoot when I’m excited about a shoot. Which is, like, every time….
I got home from the shoot, celebrated my Anniversary with my Husband – and then opened my laptop to realize I took over 1,200 photos at Lizzie’s event… Needless to say, I’m still in the culling process of her Gallery. However, I’m noticing something about this Gallery that I truly haven’t quite experienced with others or while shooting at other events.
While looking through these shots I took, I’m noticing that I’m starting to need to “get rid of” less and less photos that don’t match my standards. Additionally, that I’m becoming increasingly confident with what those standards are and what they look like. It’s truly such a nice feeling to have, even despite this break I’ve been on that I was just soo scared would destroy my progress and business. It’s so fulfilling to be able to notice more tangible things that prove our anxieties wrong, and I’m so happy I said yes to this opportunity as well!
Closing Thoughts
While I so wish I could have stayed for the entire event, it truly was such a great experience to get to see and work with Christen, and to help celebrate her on her newest chapter in her business. Supporting fellow small businesses – especially the local ones – is such an important aspect of my own business, and I’m so grateful that she’s become a part of the Ruhe Liebe Family.
Christen – it truly was such an honor to get to be there for you for your Grand Re-Opening. Your shop is beautiful, your products are amazing, and you’re absolutely killin’ the skincare game here in Winston-Salem! I wish you all of the absolute best, but I know you’re only going to go up and up from here!
Talk soon!
